Then again, the Ripper could have simply had a female lick the envelope for him each time. probably not in an attempt to fool investigators since there was no DNA testing at the time, but simply as part of the perversion whcih turned him (or her?) against women to begin with.
But this is still very interesting and I wouldn't attempt to discredit it completely just yet.
